What do you do for your clients at Ignition Law?

I help the law firm with its regulatory obligations. Solicitors are rightly subject to a huge volume of rules, regulations and professional conduct requirements.

Ignition is a brilliantly run law firm. But every once in a while, it is sensible to get an external perspective.

The value I bring to the firm means that Ignition clients benefit too: the senior management aren’t tied up in red tape and the lawyers can devote more time to their work.

What gets me out of bed in the morning

I love everything to do with innovation in legal services – business models, structures and technology. There is huge untapped potential in a legal services market worth over £20billion per year.

Oh, and the Red Sox. A sports team that is usually disappointing, occasionally magical, and unrivalled in its rich iconic history.

An entrepreneur I admire

I admire the army of under-recognised entrepreneurs doing innovative things in ‘unsexy’ sectors. I would love to see more of that in legal services.

And anyone is general who has the guts to say “I can make that better”, and just goes off and does it.

What would you put on your Ignition Law playlist or bookshelf?

Book: Tools of Titans by Tim Ferris

Playlist: Every song by LCD Soundsystem. On repeat.
