Fine Print

Work

Before joining Ignition Law, I trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, picking up ample corporate and commercial experience. As well as running my own start-ups, I also consult for a range of tech, food and travel businesses on matters ranging from copywriting and marketing strategies, to investor pitches and business development. In a past life, I worked as a full-time musician, postman, bin man, music teacher, caterer, supermarket trolley boy and builder (although I only lasted 1 day in the latter role).

Other interests

Writing (from authoring educational books, to copywriting for travel and consumer goods companies); running small businesses (I run a small publishing company called City Career Series and a luxury cake company called Whisk & Drizzle); smelling/tasting/purchasing/collecting/reading about whisky; and playing drum kit (I perform in both a 9-piece funk band called Born 2 Boogie and a rock band called Inklings).

Key practices

Commercial, Corporate, Employment and Real Estate.

Education

Warwick University: Law & Business BA(Hons)(QD) and BPP University: Legal Practice Course (Distinction)https://ignition.hr/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=team#

A social cause I care about

The Stephen Lawrence Scholarship, run out of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. The scheme was set up to address the disproportionate under-representation in large commercial law firms and other City institutions of black men from less socially mobile backgrounds.
