Jack trained at ‘Silver Circle’ law firm Hogan Lovells, where he also undertook a secondment at Ford Credit Europe before joining Ignition Law. As an associate in Ignition’s corporate team, he has assisted with various transactions for the Bear Grylls group. He is also experienced in general company secretarial matters, co-leading Ignition’s company secretarial team.

 

Recent relevant experience includes:

  • Assisting with the corporate reorganisations of the Bear Grylls group.
  • Assisting with the sale of Bear Grylls’ media business to Banijay Group, which involved drafting and negotiating the key documents, including the share purchase agreement, the shareholders’ agreement, the articles of association, the IP assignment agreement, and the employment agreement (amongst other worksteams).
  • Supporting a Spain-based production company with its UK corporate requirements, including share transfers and acquisitions, and exits.
  • Advising numerous start-ups on their early-stage needs, from shareholders’ agreements to seed and pre-seed fundraising.
  • Advising on the share sale of a music festival business.

A social cause I care about

Conservation, particularly the work of charities such as Rewilding Europe, who use nature-led restoration to combat the twin main threats of our time: climate change and ecosystem collapse.

Other interests

A few years ago I was fortunate enough to have historical novel The Rule published by HarperVoyager. Two dogs (a Hungarian Vizsla and a German Pointer) keep me off the sofa.
